Retail Hours: Our retail hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 2 - 6 PM. We will no longer be open for retail sales on Friday mornings! However, as always, we can arrange additional retail/shopping hours by appointment; just give us a little time to get there and we'll try to accommodate your needs. Please Note: To keep prices as low as possible, Seraphim Studios does NOT accept debit or credit cards for payment. A personal check or cash is always welcome.
For your information, Bullseye is offering an online kiln glass education program to build new skills, acquire new techniques, etc. For a small annual subscription, you can view educational videos on various hot glass topics throughout the year. We've put more information on our Resources page. Learn all you can about fusing and kiln work without leaving the comfort of your home!
Because Dee came back from California a sickie, the sidewalk sale at the studio scheduled for this coming Saturday, April 5, will have to be postponed! But rest assured that we will hold it later in the year, hopefully before it gets too hot this summer!
The garden stakes from our Introduction to Fusing Class held March 15 came out great! Everyone did a wonderful job! We did have a little compatibility problem with some of the glass ~ but we were able to "redo" those inserts that were affected. Check out our Facebook page for photos of the finished stakes.
Enrollment is going on now for the one-day Introduction to Copper Foil class, scheduled for Saturday, April 19 from 9A - 4PM. Cost is $100 per person, and everyone leaves with a completed 6" suncatcher, plus tools, supplies, and a complete how to workbook for making more! Deadline for registration for this class is Tuesday, April 15.

Glass Prices: We have received updates from Spectrum, Uroborus, and Bullseye about glass prices going up ~ no surprise there! However, they are all suspending production of the pinks and purples/lavenders that are manufactured using rare earth materials (mostly erbium). They are also tying prices for cranberry-based colors to the world gold market ~ in the past, the manufacturers have let the prices for these colors ride and adjusted them only on a semi-annual basis. Given the rapid fluctuation in gold prices, the manufacturers no longer can follow this practice. We have some of these colors "stockpiled" from earlier orders, but we may not be able to replace them until costs come down. As always, if you really need one of these colors, we will try to find it for you, but we wanted you to be aware that the costs have risen quite a bit on them!
We're working on a new email list, and a new email address ... will keep you posted on both! In the meantime, come see us ... we have a great new coffee maker, so the coffee is always fresh & hot! Take care & happy glassing!
